If you are a fan of the Michigan Wolverines, you probably had at least a little bit of doubt about whether or not Jim Harbaugh was ever going to defeat Ohio State and win a Big Ten Championship.
After all, the Wolverines were coming off a disaster of a 2020 season and pretty much nobody thought they would even contend in the Big Ten East.
As we now know, Harbaugh and his team not only defeated Ohio State and won the Big Ten Championship but they also advanced to the College Football Playoff for the first time in team history.
During a recent interview, Harbaugh revealed what he told his team prior to the start of the season.
“One of the things I said to these guys is, ‘Hey guys, let’s face it. The buzz has died down around here, so let’s make some new buzz!”
Harbaugh also spoke about how this team is special and how guys like Aidan Hutchinson are a big reason why everybody on the team has given everything to get to this moment.
Michigan has been on a journey to earn their respect since the first team meeting. Winning the Big Ten was just the beginning.
