After being part of a dynamic and prolific line that produced college hockey’s top three point-getters this season with fellow junior JT Compher and freshman sensation Kyle Connor, junior Tyler Motte has reportedly agreed to sign an entry-level contract with the Chicago Blackhawks.

Motte’s 56 points (32 goals, 24 assists) ranked third in the nation this season behind Connor’s 71 and Compher’s 63 respectively and was a career-high for him in his time at Michigan. Those 32 goals scored were second only to Connor (35) in the country.
The St. Clair, Mi-native was drafted by the Blackhawks in the fourth round, 121st overall, in the 2013 NHL Draft. Motte was also named a top 10 finalist for this year’s Hobey Baker Award (nation’s top player) and was selected to the All-Big Ten First Team.
