Michigan lands 4-star offensive line recruit Cesar Ruiz

Cesar Ruiz has announced his intention to attend the University of Michigan and play football for the Wolverines next year.

The 4-star offensive lineman from Bradenton, Florida is rated the No. 1 recruit for the center position in the country by 247Sports. The 17-year old prep star of IMG Academy is 6-foot-3 and 315 pounds. Ruiz selected the Wolverines over Auburn, Florida, North Carolina, and Alabama.

Ruiz becomes 23rd the pledge for Michigan’s class of 2017, a class that ranks 4th overall, and the fifth offensive lineman to commit to the Wolverines for next season. He’s also the second Florida-based pledge, joining fellow offensive lineman Kai-Leon Herbert (Fort Lauderdale, FL).
