Michigan football has secured its first commitment of the 2024 transfer portal cycle, adding a valuable piece to its roster in wide receiver Donaven McCulley. The former Indiana standout chose the Wolverines over offers from Oklahoma and Virginia Tech, making a big splash for Michigan’s recruiting efforts.

McCulley had a strong 2023 season for the Hoosiers, recording 48 receptions for 644 yards and six touchdowns. His 2024 campaign was brief, with just two catches for 21 yards and a touchdown before entering the transfer portal in October. Despite the limited action this year, McCulley’s experience and production in 2023 make him a welcome addition to Michigan’s wide receiver corps.
This commitment adds depth to the Wolverines’ receiving group and sets the tone for what could be an exciting transfer portal period as Michigan looks to further strengthen its roster for the upcoming season.
