2020 was not a good season for the Michigan Wolverines.
Not only did they finish with a 2-4 overall record but they ended up canceling their final three games of the season because of COVID.
In early December, ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit suggested that the Wolverines might “wave the white flag” rather than have to play against Ohio State. Herbstreit later apologized for those comments but when Michigan did end up canceling The Game, Ohio State fans (and Michigan State fans) made sure to bring up the “white flag” comment as much as they could.
On Monday, Michigan LB Josh Ross was asked about the “white flag” comments.
“It’s BS to be honest with you,” Ross said. “As a Michigan Wolverine, that’s the game you die for.”
