This coming Saturday, Michigan will be in East Lansing to take on the Michigan State Spartans in what is being looked at as a must-win game for both teams.
Most news this week was supposed to be about the big game, but on Wednesday night, some news broke that caught most Wolverines’ fans off guard.
According to reports, Michigan linebacker Drew Singleton had decided to transfer.

Heading into the 2018 season, Singleton was looked at as a contender for the WILL linebacker position at Michigan.
“The guys that are in there are Devin Gil, Josh Ross and Drew Singleton,” Michigan defensive coordinator Brown said back in August. “Those three guys are in that fistfight. Coach likes to use the term ‘cage match,’ I guess that’s what it is. If you ask me today who’s the leader in the clubhouse, I would say there is none. So if ask me, I think Josh and Devin Gil are probably slightly ahead of Drew. If that were the case we would let them both play and see who steps up and separates. Or, if they just keep on playing well, we’ll leave it alone.”

Unless you live under a rock, you certainly know by now that the Michigan Wolverines and Michigan State Spartans square off this Saturday. Ahhhh yes, campus vandalism and graffiti, insults, and general smack talk have already hit fever pitch.
But, as we begin to look towards the game itself on Saturday, all the makings for an incredible game are there. The Wolverines are coming off an absolute shellacking of the formerly No. 15 Wisconsin Badgers, while the Spartans did what most thought of as the unthinkable by going to Happy Valley and taking down the formerly No. 8 Penn State Nittany Lions.
While the Spartans may have taken down Goliath last weekend in Pennsylvania, they will absolutely NOT be able to do so two weeks in a row! Call it a hunch, premonition, or whatever you’d like. But mark my words: there is no chance Michigan State wins this game. Just to back it up, I’ve got three reasons why:
