Michigan makes monumental jump in AP College Basketball Top 25 poll

Heading into the 2019 season, there were plenty of questions facing the Michigan basketball team. Not only did they lose Ignas Brazdeikis, Jordan Poole, and Charles Matthews, but they also lost their head coach, John Beilein.

As far as national respect, the Wolverines only got 2 total votes in the preseason Associated Press Top 25 poll, which tied them for No. 43 in the nation.

Well, following an epic Battle 4 Atlantis tournament championship run which included wins over Iowa State, No. 6 North Carolina, and No. 8 Gonzaga, new head coach Juwan Howard has Michigan off to a 7-0 start and the respect has followed.

On Monday, the Week 5 AP Top 25 poll was released and Michigan came in at No. 4, which is a monumental jump from their No. 33 ranking heading into last week.

The Wolverines’ next challenge is another big one as they will play a road game against No. Louisville.

Nation, how high do you think Michigan should be ranked?
