It was simply no contest this afternoon at The Big House.
The Michigan Wolverines overwhelmed Northern Illinois, running for 373 yards as a team and packing 63 points on the board en route to a 63-10 victory, improving to 3-0 overall in 2021.
Blake Corum ran 13 times for 123 yards and three touchdowns, while Donovan Edwards ran eight times for 86 yards and two touchdowns. Quarterback Cade McNamara, who was 8-for-11 for 191 yards and one touchdown, gave way to J.J. McCarthy in the third quarter.
But for McNamara, he explained afterwards that despite the massive win, his team isn't content.
Cade McNamara: "We're not content at all … we know that now the season begins.
Adds: "We're where we expected to be."

He also explained the expectations of himself from the Michigan coaching staff:
Cade McNamara said he got chided by coaches for admiring Michigan's running backs a little too much. "They told me I need to carry about my fakes a little better. It’s hard not to watch, because those guys are ballers, for sure."

But of course, at the end of the day, only one thing matters.
‘As long as we keep winning, I don’t care.’
Cade McNamara quote just now. Could probably be a T-shirt.
