Late Monday night, Michigan freshman QB J.J. McCarthy took to Twitter to make an awesome announcement.
As you can see in McCarthy’s tweet below, he is committing a portion of his NIL money to Children’s Hospitals, families, and programs in need. In total, McCarthy is donating $10,500, including a donation to a fund benefitting the victims of the Oxford High School shooting.
Here’s where he is planning to send the money:
• The biggest portion, $3,000, will be donated to the Oxford school fund, benefitting families affected by the recent shooting at Oxford High School that killed four and injured seven.
• $2,000 each will be donated to the Charles Woodson Clinical Research Fund at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor and internship program at Lurie’s Children’s Hospital in Chicago.
• $1,000 each will be donated to the Dance Marathon 4 Kids at the University of Nebraska Children’s Hospital and Little Heroes League, “benefitting multiple hospitals.”
• $500 each will go to the Hurley Children’s Hospital Pediatric Public Health center in East Lansing, Penn State Children’s Hospital and the “Safe Kids Baltimore” fund at the University of Maryland Children’s Hospital.
Thanks for being awesome, J.J. !!!!!!
