It looks as though fans of the Michigan Wolverines won’t have to spend too much time thinking of who will be appearing under center for the maize and blue next season.
Quarterbacks coach Matt Weiss said that QB Cade McNamara, who was declared MVP of the team’s annual spring game, as their starter for 2021 during an appearance on the “In The Trenches” podcast:
“Cade is a guy who I think, for everything everybody is going to say (about) him, criticize him, he’s going to end up playing 10 years in the NFL,” Weiss told host Jon Jansen.
“Because he’s really smart and makes great decisions. He processes things very fast. And his accuracy and arm strength are more than enough to win with.”
Of course, the Wolverines also have 5-star recruit J.J. McCarthy and Texas Tech transfer Alan Bowman competing for the job as well.
