It was a special season for Blake Corum and the University of Michigan football team as they defeated Michigan State, and Ohio State, and won a second-straight Big Ten Championship by defeating Purdue in the Big Ten Championship. Unfortunately, Corum suffered a knee injury in the Wolverines‘ game against Illinois, and he was unable to play for the remainder of the season. Now, Corum has made his decision for 2023.
What decision did Michigan Blake Corum make?
Just moments ago, Corum joined Rich Eisen on the Rich Eisen Show and he announced his intentions for the 2023 season.
Corum told Eisen that he had made the decision to return to the Wolverines for the 2023 season!
“It was a tough decision,” Corum said. “A lot of nights I was coming back, a lot of nights I was going to the [NFL] draft. A lot of prayer. But I’m a Michigan man through and through. I love playing for the University of Michigan … I think I have unfinished business,” he said. … “I will be coming back for it all next year.”
This is obviously HUGE news for the Michigan football program.
During the 2022 season, Corum rushed for a whopping 1,463 yards and 18 touchdowns, despite missing half of the Illinois game, essentially all of the Ohio State game, and the College Football Playoff game vs. TCU.
The Wolverines were already going to be very good in 2023, and Corum coming back just makes them that much better.
