According to reports, Michigan State OL Jacob Isaia has entered his name in the transfer portal.
Isaia, who is a redshirt junior, is the grandson of former Michigan State fullback Bob Apisa, who won national championships with the Spartans in 1965 and 1966.
From MLive:
Isaia, 6-foot-3 and 310 pounds, appeared in 24 career games for the Spartans on special teams and as a reserve offensive lineman.
A three-star prospect from Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, Isaia signed with Michigan State’s 2018 recruiting class and didn’t play as a true freshman while taking a redshirt. He appeared in six games the following year – including a start at fullback at Michigan when the Spartans lined up in the I-formation – and five in 2020. Isaia appeared in all 13 games this season, primarily on special teams.
Michigan State has now had 16 players enter the portal since the end of the 2021 season.
