The Michigan State Spartans weren’t at full strength on Tuesday night, yet still managed to win their Champions Classic matchup over the Duke Blue Devils. That should serve as a warning to the rest of college basketball.
Michigan State earned just their 4th ever win over Duke, and earned their first ever win at Cameron Indoor Stadium tonight with a 75-69 victory.

After trailing by as many as ten points in the first half, Michigan State was able to pull away from Duke in the second half on the backs of a 14-3 run. Sophomore Malik Hall nailed two free throws with seconds remaining in the contest to seal with win over No. 6 Duke, who fell to 1-1 on the season.
Rocket Watts led the Spartans in scoring with 20 points, while Aaron Henry added 14. Matthew Hurt countered for Duke with 21 points.
