After missing the NCAA Men’s Hockey Tournament for a fourth consecutive season, the Michigan State Spartans hockey team has plenty of questions to answer this off-season to say the very least.
For a select few that have rights with NHL teams, they are left at a crossroads. However, junior forward MacKenzie MacEachern is the first domino to fall, foregoing his senior year to sign with his club.

‘Mac’ gradually improved during his time in East Lansing. His point totals climbed from 12 his freshman season, to 26 his sophomore year and 30 this year as a junior. Those 30 points and 14 goals led the offensively-challenged Spartans in 2015-16.
MacEachern was drafted out of Birmingham Brother Rice in Bloomfield Hills, MI in the third round (67th overall) of the 2012 draft by the St. Louis Blues.
