Michigan State has finally offered Carlos “Scooby” Johnson. The 6’5″ forward from Benton Harbor, MI is one of the more versatile prospects in the 2020 class.

Many believe that the University of Michigan has been in the driver seat to land a commitment from Johnson. With the offer from Tom Izzo and Michigan State, it will be interesting to see where Carlos Johnson ends up playing college basketball.
How Johnson would fit in at Michigan State
When watching Carlos “Scooby” Johnson play, there is no wonder why he is a highly sought after player. Johnson possesses the toughness and versatility that thrives in Tom Izzo’s system. A comparable former Spartan that comes to mind is Raymar Morgan with his relentless motor and willingness to do whatever is needed to help the team. Carlos is a true leader and has demonstrated an ever-improving jump shot.
Recruitment prediction
Carlos “Scooby” Johnson has yet to announce his top five schools of choice. I do believe this will be a Michigan vs. Michigan State battle with the Spartan gaining his commitment ultimately. Johnson and Michigan State do seem like a perfect match, but anything can happen in the world of college basketball recruiting.
