According to a report from MLive, Michigan State football signee Steffan Johnson was arrested and is currently in jail for allegedly extorting an underage girl.

Johnson, 18, was arrested by police in North Port, Fla., for extortion, directing or promoting sexual performance by a child, according to a police report obtained via a records request.
“Michigan State Athletics is aware of the matter and monitoring the situation,” a team spokesman said in an emailed statement.
According to the police report, a threat of extorting a sexual video of a juvenile was made on Wednesday night. It said Johnson asked a girl to leave her home and meet him at the end of the street. Police said Johnson asked the girl to kiss him and she said no. After returning to her home, the girl received a text message of her performing oral sexual acts on Johnson.
Johnson is a 3-star CB in the Class of 2021, according to 247Sports.
