Tuck still comin’, at least on the recruiting trail. After visiting Michigan State during their win against Rutgers, four-star linebacker Jayvant Brown from St. Thomas Aquinas in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, tweeted out his commitment to coach Mel Tucker and the Spartans.

Brown is the No. 367 player in the nation, according to 247 Composite rankings, and held offers from powerhouses all over the country like Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, and Texas, among others.
MSU now has two linebackers committed for the 2023 class as Brown joins fellow four-star Jordan Hall and gives the Spartans nine four-star players. Brown’s commitment has boosted the Spartans’ 2023 class to No. 31 in the country and No. 6 in the Big Ten (No. 3 in average player ranking).
