The Michigan State Spartans have found their new man to lead their football team following last week's abrupt retirement of Mark Dantonio.

Colorado coach Mel Tucker and the Spartans have agreed in principal on a new deal for Tucker to become the next head coach of the Spartans. Despite turning down an offer earlier in the week, he was soon presented another offer that he couldn't refuse.
According to sources, the deal with Michigan State would double the salary he earned at Colorado ($2.7 million). Meanwhile, the salary pool for assistant coaches will also increase, as well as a substantial increase to the strength/conditioning staff.

Additionally, this will be Tucker's second go-around in East Lansing, as he previously served as an assistant to Nick Saban with the Spartans in the 1990's.
