Prior to Saturday’s game between Michigan and Michigan State, things got a little heated between the two teams as the Spartans were attempting to walk across the field, arms locked.

The Spartans were reportedly late to coming out onto the field and some of the Wolverines players, who were told they could enter the field at 10 am, were near midfield doing some stretching. As the MSU players approached midfield, a couple of them reportedly ‘clotheslined’ multiple Michigan players and even ripped the earphones off one of them.
Following the game, which Michigan dominated 21-7, Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh commented on what went down in the pregame, calling it “bush league” and saying he was told that Spartans head coach Mark Dantonio was smiling while the whole thing went down.
When Harbaugh’s accusations were brought up to Dantonio, he called them “BS” multiple times and refused to go into further detail.

Thanks to social media, a video surfaced that shows Dantonio following behind his players and it looks as if he may be smiling.
On Sunday, Dantonio talked to the media and doubled down on what he said on Saturday.
“As far as everything prior to the game, I’m really not going to even bother commenting on it,” Dantonio said on a Sunday night teleconference. “I’ve never commented on a coach in the past, I’m not going to comment on one now. The whole thing to me was sort of juvenile. Things are going to happen in rivalry games, but I sort of stand by what I said yesterday.”
One thing is for sure, if this rivalry was not heated before, it sure as heck is now!
