When Jim Harbaugh was hired by the University of Michigan following the 2014 season, just about every Wolverines fan thought that by now, he would be owning Michigan State and at least holding his own against Ohio State. They certainly did not think he would have to accept a massive pay cut just to continue coaching the Wolverines in 2021.
But, here we are and though Harbaugh has Michigan off to an impressive 7-0 start, none of those wins were against his biggest rivals, Michigan State and Ohio State.
On Saturday, Harbaugh and his undefeated Wolverines will travel to East Lansing to take on Mel Tucker and the also undefeated Michigan State Spartans.
Everybody has been talking about the big matchup between the Spartans and Wolverines but not many have been talking about what is going to happen when MSU takes down Michigan on Saturday.
Ladies and gentlemen, I am here to tell you that Mel Tucker is going to have the Spartans ready to play and when all is said and done, they will walk away with a big win over Harbaugh and his Wolverines.
The loss by the Wolverines will send shockwaves through the University of Michigan and their fan base and you can bet there will be plenty of talk about firing Harbaugh at the conclusion of the season.
If Michigan loses to Michigan State on Saturday – they will – Harbaugh’s only chance to save his job will be to upset Ohio State in the final game of the season.
Folks, that is not happening.
