I hate the NCAA transfer portal.
Sure, I understand the portal has produced some talent for Michigan, most recently on the basketball court, but overall, it bothers me that so many players are just coming and going from programs across the country. It’s certainly not the college sports I grew up watching and loving.
Well, on Friday, the transfer portal bit the Wolverines football program in the butt again (sort of) as OL Willie Allen announced he is leaving the program to enter the portal.
Again.
What a bit odd about this one, at least on the surface, is that Allen just transferred to UM from Louisiana Tech and now he’s moving on following what must have been an eye-opening spring camp with Jim Harbaugh. (Or, he realized he was not going to play)
Well that was a quick stay — Michigan OL Willie Allen is in the transfer portal. He was a grad transfer to Michigan from Louisiana Tech and just went through spring ball
