Michigan Wolverines’ Brandon Peters to Transfer

Michigan backup QB, Brandon Peters, will reportedly enter the transfer portal.

Hyped Recruit

Peters was once a four-star recruit out of Avon, Indiana. Several teams were interested in him, but it was Michigan who landed Indiana’s top prospect.

In 2017, Peters split time with John O’Korn. In that year he appeared in six games as O’Korn struggled and the Wolverines finished 8-5.

Many expected that Peters would start the next season with the departure of O’Korn. However, Michigan decided to bring in a transfer in Shea Patterson. Once the NCAA ruled that Patterson would be allowed to start immediately, he began the starter for Jim Harbaugh’s offense.

Last year, Peterson only saw action in two games. His only pass attempt in the Nebraska game was intercepted, and he completed one pass for eight yards against Ohio State. Not the college football career he was looking for.

Now Brandon Peters will explore his options in the NCAA transfer portal. There’s no indication of where Peters will play. It was speculated that he would transfer to Purdue, but that’s been downplayed recently.

One would assume that Peters would look for a team who needs a starter and runs a pro-style offense. That list is relatively short. It shouldn’t take very long to find out where Peters will end up. Here’s to hoping he finds what he’s looking for.
