It was an outstanding 2022 campaign for the Michigan Wolverines as they destroyed their two biggest rivals, won another Big Ten Championship, and made a second-straight appearance in the College Football Playoff. According to the way-too-early Top 25 rankings that have surfaced, the Wolverines are going to be an odds-on favorite to get back to the CFP once again following the 2023 season. On Sunday, WR Cornelius Johnson made a huge announcement regarding where he will play in 2023.
What announcement did Michigan WR Cornelius Johnson make?
Just moments ago, Johnson took to Twitter to announce that he will be returning to the Wolverines in 2023.
After considering great opportunities, I have decided to stay with the University of Michigan football team for the 2023 season,” Johnson tweeted. “I am excited to get back on Main Street with the crew. Thank you!”
During the 2022 season, Johnson had 32 catches for 499 yards and six touchdowns. This comes after he caught 40 passes for 627 yards and three TDs in 2021.
