The Michigan Wolverines cruised to victory this afternoon in Ann Arbor, taking down Northern Illinois with ease by a 63-10 final score to improve to a perfect 3-0 record in 2021 so far.
“It was inspiring the way the guys played,” he said. “They're playing so hard, it was tremendous play. They're standing out so much.”
Quarterback Cade McNamara, who was 8-for-11 for 191 yards and one touchdown, earned high praise from head coach Jim Harbaugh in his post-game press conference.
“The way he stood in the pocket was cool – cool as a cucumber,” Harbaugh said. “Very poised. Good for him.”
Overall, it was a good day for Michigan's offense, who wanted a balanced attack.
“We wanted to rush for 200 yards, we wanted to pass for 200 yards” — Harbaugh when asked whether they were looking to throw more today
