The 2018 college football bowl season is now in full swing but on Wednesday, it’s all about recruiting as the early signing period officially begins.

On Monday, University of Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh‘s latest “Attack Each Day” podcast dropped and he spoke about how excited he is for the early signing period to begin. Harbaugh is clearly confident that the Wolverines will “come very close” to a full class if not a full class on Wednesday.
“It’s like it used to be in January when you just had the February signing,” Jim Harbaugh said this week on his “Attack Each Day” podcast. “I feel pretty confident that we’re going to come very close to a full class — if not a full class — on this Dec. 19, the first day you can sign.”
Harbaugh admitted that the recruiting process is a lot of hard work but it is something he clearly loves to do.
“It’s a lot of work, but it sure doesn’t seem like work,” Harbaugh said. “You’re doing the things you love to do, and all of our coaches have done a great job with it.”
As of now, Michigan has 25 verbal commits but there is still a chance that number could change depending on what happens both on Wednesday and moving forward through the early signing period.
Two big-time recruits the Wolverines could still land include 5-star DB Daxton Hill, who recently flipped from Michigan to Alabama but is rumored to be reconsidering, and 5-star DE Zach Harrison, who is expected to make his decision on Wednesday.
One thing is for sure, the first day of the early signing period is going to be exciting and Harbaugh expects to see some fireworks.
“Wednesday is going to be good,” Harbaugh said. “We’re going to have some fireworks on signing day. It’s going to be great.”
