Michigan’s Jim Harbaugh to get contract extension

So, Michigan fans, what if I were to tell you that there are rumors floating around that Jim Harbaugh is going to get a contract extension in the coming week or so?

Well, regardless of your reaction, that is exactly the rumor that has been gaining steam since about 7:40 p.m. ET on Saturday night when Rob Parker of FS1 tweeted out just that.

Parker notes that his “moles” are telling him that the Wolverines are going to give Harbaugh an extension, despite his team being 2-4 in 2020.

Following Parker’s tweet, Detroit Sports Nation  reached out to multiple sources and one said, “Harbaugh will have an extension before the Wolverines play their next game.”

Nation, would this be the right decision?

  1. As a State Fan, it’s the best news yet. Mel Tucker has done more with a MAC-level team, than Harbaugh has done with prized recruits.

    Give him another 10 years.

  2. No! It’s Matt Campbell Time in A2! There’s no shame in Moving on from him. Still love him but it’s time to go.

  3. Michigan athletic director rumored to be mailing letters to OSU alumni soliciting funds to pay Harbaugh’s salary for a contract extension. It appears he has about 75% of the salary covered.

  4. Since the inception of mich football, we have averaged 8 wins a year! 8 wins a year! Check it out. So 10 wins a year is beating what fans “Michigan football “. So chill! Once we get over the hump & beat osu. We’ll be fine. Besides, we did beat them but couldn’t beat the refs!

  5. So clear that he is so not a fit at MI – or college level. If things were going to gel they would have. Return to the NFL and spare yourself the obvious-to-everyone misery.

  6. Unless you are a qualified coach and feel you can truly do better, stop acting like you know what’s best for mich football. Lol everybody thinks they are a guru.
