Detroit Tigers slugger Miguel Cabrera has provided us with countless memories over the years, and etched his name into the record books as one of the greatest Tigers and hitters in MLB history.
And tonight against the Chicago Cubs at Comerica Park, he’s added another notch to his repertoire.
Cabrera hit an RBI single in tonight’s 1st inning, the 1,708th of his career. In doing so, he broke a tie with Adrián Beltré for 21st all time in Major League Baseball history.
Getting RBIs and passing legends.

Earlier this season, he moved into 30th place all time in home runs with his 479th long ball.
It’s been a historic career for Cabrera, and his rightful place in the Hall of Fame is waiting for him when he decides to hang up the cleats.
