On Sunday afternoon, Detroit Tigers slugger Miguel Cabrera finally hit his 500th home run as the Tigers defeated the Toronto Blue Jays in extra innings.
Following the game, Miggy spoke to reports about the pressure of chasing 500 and how he wished he could have reached the milestone in front of Tigers fans at Comerica Park.
“There was a lot of things on my mind because I wanted to hit it in Detroit,” he said. Cabrera said he was enthused to see fans pack the park for the first time in “five or six years.”
