Despite being out with a calf strain for the next six weeks, the Detroit Tigers first baseman, Miguel Cabrera, has been voted in as the starting first baseman for the American League.
Cabrera is an all-star for the 10th time in his career and for the 6th straight year. He was elected as a starter for the 3rd straight year.

Cabrera is the Tigers lone representative in the starting lineup, but will be replaced due to injury. Eric Hosmer will most likely be the replacement for Cabrera. Here are the final results for the AL votes:
