The Michigan Wolverines brought back a legend this afternoon as a key addition to head coach Jim Harbaugh‘s staff.
Mike Hart, who earned three-time first-team All-Big Ten selections while setting school records for rushing yards and carries, will be in charge of the team’s running backs.
He’s spent the last four years as running backs coach at Indiana.
After his return to Ann Arbor was made official, Hart released the followings statement:
“Michigan has always held a special place in my heart,” Hart said in a statement. “It is a place that always believed in me and a place that I have always believed in. I am excited to join Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan staff, and can’t wait to get to work with a talented running back group.”
After playing in the NFL for three years with the Indianapolis Colts, Hart has also had coaching stints at Eastern Michigan, Western Michigan and Syracuse.
