The Minnesota Twins turned the 3rd triple play of the 2021 MLB season this afternoon against the Kansas City Royals. KC’s Nicky Lopez attempted a bunt with runners already on 1B and 2B, but things didn’t go according to plan.
Miguel Sanó caught the bunt attempt, and then threw to Andrelton Simmons at 2B for the second out. Simmons then threw to Nick Gordon at 1B to catch Cam Gallagher:
