While the Detroit Lions 53 man roster is taking shape, one of their chief rivals have included a local player among their latest round of roster cuts.
The Minnesota Vikings have made the decision to cut former Michigan Wolverines safety Josh Metellus:

Metellus was drafted by the Vikings in this year's NFL Draft, 205th overall. Last season with Michigan, he amassed 74 tackles, including 4.0 for loss. Having made 38 starts while with Michigan, he also earned First-Team All-Big Ten honors from the Associated Press in 2018.
