A frightening scene unfolded Friday night in Atlanta as video surfaced showing the exact moment Detroit Lions defensive back Morice Norris suffered a devastating injury during the team’s preseason matchup against the Atlanta Falcons.
The incident occurred early in the fourth quarter, when Norris’ head snapped back violently during a tackle. He immediately collapsed to the turf, prompting medical staff to rush onto the field.

Carted Off and Taken to Hospital
Trainers quickly stabilized Norris on the field, placing him on a backboard before lifting him onto a stretcher. He was then taken off the field and transported by ambulance to a local hospital for further evaluation. As of now, the Lions have not released an official update on his condition.
Game Stopped Early Out of Respect
Following the injury, Lions head coach Dan Campbell and Falcons head coach Raheem Morris met and agreed to run out the remaining 14-plus minutes of the fourth quarter. With just over six minutes remaining on the running clock, it was announced that the game has officially been suspended. The final score stood at Detroit 17, Atlanta 10.
