Earlier today, we published a piece documenting Jim Harbaugh‘s latest recruiting expedition as he took a picture with 4-star wide receiver Oliver Martin while wearing a swimming cap.
Well, apparently Harbaugh’s pitch worked because on Monday night, Martin announced his commitment to the University of Michigan by jumping into a pool with Harbaugh and Pep Hamilton.

Martin, who is from West Senior High School in Iowa City, Iowa, spurned instate leader University of Iowa to join the Wolverines for the Class of 2017. He is ranked as the #1 recruit from Iowa and the #28 wide receiver in the Class of 2017 by 24/7 Sports. Listed at 6’0″ tall and 188 pounds, Martin could be a solid slot receiver for the Wolverines. This commitment is especially interesting for Michigan fans as Martin was a top target of Michigan State University.
