For many years, the Joe Louis Arena served as home to the Detroit Red Wings.
But as we know, all good things must come to an end and that’s exactly what is taking place as the JLA is being demolished.
On Wednesday, the demolition to the outside of the building began and there was something special about it.
Take a look as two of the cranes being used honored two Red Wings’ legends, Steve Yzerman and Gordie Howe.

It sure is sad to see the Joe Louis Arena being taken away forever but this a cool way to do it.
