Ok, I’ll admit that I fall for the Detroit Lions shenanigans just about every single year but even I have never gone as far as what you are about to read.
According to Wall Street Journal writer Jason Gray, the Lions will win Super Bowl LV at the conclusion of the 2020 season.

That’s right folks, Gray is picking the Lions to finally hoist the Lombardi Trophy but his reasoning has nothing to do with them being the best team in football. Instead, Gray is picking the Lions because, well, it’s 2020.
“The Lions haven’t ever been to a Super Bowl, but 2020 couldn’t get possibly weirder—a life-altering pandemic, a contentious election, forest fires allegedly caused by gender-reveal parties, work from home, school from home…the Lions winning the Super Bowl feels on brand for what we’ve all seen this year.”
Sure, Gray is just messing around, but to be fair, he may be on to something here. After all, it is 2020.
But guess what, we will take it!
