As the NBA trade deadline approached, there were plenty of rumors floating around that the Los Angeles Lakers wanted to make a deal with the Detroit Pistons to get point guard, Derrick Rose.

No deal was ever agreed upon as the Pistons were reluctant to trade Rose, as he was happy playing in Detroit and they felt his value could increase down the road.
Now, according to one NBA GM, the Rose being traded from the Pistons to the Lakers is ‘Much more likely now.’
“I think both sides were reluctant when they went into in January, February,” one general manager told Heavy.com. “I don’t think the Lakers wanted to make a major move because they thought they could do something on the buyout market. And I don’t think the Pistons wanted to make a major move because Derrick was happy there. You know, the Lakers wanted to be involved in case the Clippers got involved or someone else, the Bucks or the Nuggets, whoever. So there was interest but not too serious. Now, everything has shifted a little. Now, they’re both in a position to where a deal is much more likely now.”

If the Pistons do make a deal with the Lakers, one would assume the return package would include Flint, MI native, Kyle Kuzma. The question is, would that be enough for the Pistons to part with Rose, or would the Lakers have to also throw in a draft pick to sweeten the pot? In my opinion, the Pistons could get Kuzma and a pick from the Lakers.
Nation, what do you think?
