On Wednesday, the Detroit Red Wings officially announced that Dylan Larkin had been named the team’s 37th captain in franchise history.
Later that night, the 2020-21 regular season began an NBC Sports decided to show a graphic showing all of the new captains around the league, including Larkin.
But there was one small problem. NBC managed to get Larkin’s name correct but they failed to get up the right picture. Instead, NBC used a picture of Red Wings’ prospect Dylan McIlrath, who currently plays for the Grand Rapids Griffins.
