The Detroit Red Wings shored up the goaltending position this offseason, inking former New York Islanders goaltender Thomas Greiss to a two-year contract.
Greiss revealed his new sharp goalie gear during training camp:

And now, his new mask design has been revealed. A simple and classic Red Wings design on one side, and a ferocious gorilla that he's featured in every single of his past mask artwork creations. On the backplate is a tribute to his home country of Germany, as well as a nod to his work with Autism Awareness:
