Weems, who is committed to DePaul, is currently a senior at New Haven High School, the No. 3 ranked team in Division 2 (No. 11 overall) according to MLive.

On Wednesday, the nominations for the 2019 McDonald’s All-American Game were released and Weems, along with three other seniors boys from Michigan made the list.

So far in 2019, Weems has absolutely overpowered his competition as he is averaging 31.1 points, 11.9 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 3.5 steals per game. He is also just two points away from becoming New Haven’s all-time leading scorer and is on pace to eclipse the 2,000 point mark for his career.

Joining Weems as nominees from Michigan are Caleb Hodgson from Dansville High School, and DeSean Munson and Wade Ryan from Ann Arbor Skyline.

In addition, the nominees for the girls McDonald’s All-American game have been announced and 15 seniors made the list.
