New Orleans car dealership offers new vehicle to Detroit Lions QB David Blough in exchange for win over Packers

The New Orleans Saints would sure love to earn a top-two seed in the playoffs, which comes with a bye week.

In order for that to happen, the Detroit Lions would have to defeat the Green Bay Packers this Sunday at Ford Field. And to that end, a well-known New Orleans Saints fan who also happens to own a car dealership is offering QB David Blough a new vehicle if he can lead the Lions to a victory over the Packers.

“He’s in Detroit, so I have to get him an American truck, right? I figure that’s good karma,” said Matt Bowers. “I can’t go back too far now. I’m all out there now.”

It certainly won’t be easy for the Lions to emerge victorious. They’re currently listed as 9.5 point underdogs, and it doesn’t help they’ve lost eight straight games. But how much does the prospect of a brand new vehicle help Blough?

“Whatever we can do. Whatever he needs to be ready,” Bowers said. “I’ve seen crazier things happen. The Falcons came in here and beat us when they had two wins. They can do it. (Blough) has to believe they can do it. Whatever we can do to that go easier.”

The Lions and Packers will square off just after 1:00 PM on Sunday.
