If you happen to be on the Robert Saleh to the Detroit Lions train, you may want to brace yourself because that train may be about to head off the tracks and into the great abyss.
According to a report from Peter Schrags, Saleh met with the New York Jets on Tuesday and he is now expected to meet with their owner, Christopher Johnson, today. Schrags notes that if the Jets decide that Saleh is their guy, they “could play hardball” and not let him leave town without a deal in place.
Stay tuned.
#49ers DC Robert Saleh met with members of the #Jets organization yesterday and is slated to meet with owner Christopher Johnson today, per @PSchrags. If the #Jets really want him, they could play hardball and try to get a deal done today without letting him leave the building.
