Heading into the night, the Yankees (88) trailed only the Los Angeles Dodgers (94) in team home runs for the season. At the time of publishing, the Dodgers had already hit one home run in their game against the Colorado Rockies, to give them 95 on the season compared to 94 for the Yankees.
