Not a lot happening out of Tigers camp today, as the past couple of days have been fairly quiet. While that is good news on the injury front, it was not a good thing in today’s loss to the St. Louis Cardinals.
Tigers bats go silent in loss
The Tigers had a tough day at the plate today against John Lackey, and the rest of the Cardinals staff, as they were shut out in a 1-0 loss. The loss dropped their record to 6-10 this spring. David Price was on the mound for the Tigers today and made his best start of the spring:
David Price's afternoon: 4 innings, 1 hit, walk, 5 K's. 48 pitches, 35 strikes.

The Tigers will look to get back on track tomorrow as they take on the Washington Nationals in Lakeland.
Tigers slowly getting healthier
The Tigers had a couple of key players back in the lineup for this afternoon’s game. Alex Avila (back) and Yoenis Cespedes (quad) both returned to action for the Tigers this afternoon. The Tigers will wait one more day to get second baseman Ian Kinsler (shoulder) back into the lineup.
Ian Kinsler (left shoulder soreness) told Ausmus he could've played today, but he was given extra day to recover. He'll play play Tuesday.

Could the Tigers bring both Romine and Perez north?
After many thought that Andrew Romine and Hernan Perez were fighting for a single spot on the Tigers’ bench, Brad Ausmus has thrown around the possibility of having both of them come north with the Tigers to begin the season. Unsure of the need to bring a fifth outfielder north in Tyler Collins, Ausmus would like the flexibility of having a player that can play first base if Miguel Cabrera is not ready to start the season. This will be one to watch in the coming weeks, as health of other players plays a big role.
