Next Detroit Lions’ superstar wins 2020 Heisman Trophy

It was not too long ago that we had serious doubts about whether or not there would be a college football season.

But, it is now January and though plenty of games were canceled due to COVID-19, we are now one game away from crowning a College Football Playoff champion. That champion will be crowned next Monday when the Alabama Crimson Tide take on the Ohio State Buckeyes.

That matchup will feature who many believe will be the next superstar for the Detroit Lions, WR DeVonta Smith out of Alabama.

On Tuesday night, Smith was announced as the 2020 Heisman Trophy winner, beating out Trevor Lawrence, Kyle Trask, and his teammate, Mac Jones.

The Lions have the No. 7 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft and that very well could be the sweet spot for Smith to be selected.

Nation, do you think DeVonta Smith will end up being an all-time great for the Lions?

What do you think?
