For those of you who religiously watch the NFL Pro Bowl hoping you are going to get to see the best players on the planet play in a real game, we feel bad for you.
Each and every year, the Pro Bowl takes place and each and every year, the fans and media bash the event because it is obvious that the players give minimal effort, at best. (They shouldnโt give effort)
Well, according to the NFL, they are replacing the game itself with a new event, which will take place on Sunday, February 5, 2023.

NFL announces they are replacing the Pro Bowl game
From Associated Press:
The NFL is replacing the Pro Bowl with weeklong skills competitions and a flag football game, The Associated Press has learned.
The new event will replace the full-contact showcase started in 1951. It will be renamed โThe Pro Bowl Gamesโ and will feature AFC and NFC players showcasing their football and non-football skills in challenges over several days. The 2023 Games will be held in Las Vegas, and the flag football game at Allegiant Stadium is Feb. 5.
โThe Pro Bowl is something that weโve been looking at for a while, really continuing to evolve,โ NFL executive Peter OโReilly told The Associated Press. โComing out of last yearโs game, we really made the decision based on a lot of internal conversations, getting feedback from GMs and coaches, getting a lot of feedback from players. We think thereโs a real opportunity to do something wholly different here and move away from the traditional tackle football game. We decided the goal is to celebrate 88 of the biggest stars in the NFL in a really positive, fun, yet competitive way.
โThe feedback very directly from guys who had been in the Pro Bowl recently was to keep the construct of the week, make sure youโre having that multiday element. It was overwhelmingly positive both from players as well as from clubs.โ
Nation, do you like the idea of replacing the NFL Pro Bowl?
