Within the past hour, the Detroit Lions made the announcement that Martha Ford is stepping down as principal owner of the team and that her daughter, Sheila Ford Hamp, is taking over.
Just moments ago, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell released the following statement regarding the situation.
