According to multiple reports, a proposal was made to the Detroit Lions which would result in them moving their 2020 training camp to The Greenbrier Resort in West Virginia.
Whether or not the Lions were considering the move is not known but Adam Schefter is reporting that the NFL has notified all its teams that they must remain at their team facilities for training camp. The reason for the mandate is that the NFL and NFLPA want to limit the need for travel and also limit the risk of maintaining two facilities.
We still do not know for sure, but the smart money is that training camps will either be without fans altogether or it will at least be very limited due to the coronavirus.
Here’s why all teams will be home for training camp: the NFL and NFLPA wanted to limit the need for travel and also limit the risk of maintaining two facilities. They wanted the focus all on one. Last year 10 teams had camp away from facility; this year, none. https://t.co/JtYuvbieHd
