Unfortunately, for the Detroit Lions (and those of us who had to watch the Detroit Lions), Matthew Stafford suffered another back injury in 2019 and he missed the final eight games of the season.
Now, Stafford says he is 100% ready to roll and the hope is that he can lead the Lions offense to become one of the best in the entire league.
On a recent episode of the Dynasty Theory Fantasy Football Show, NFL injury analyst Stephania Bell of ESPN weighed in on Stafford’s back injury and she said “that’s not something I’m worried about.”
During the podcast, Bell noted that the Lions knew Stafford was playing through a lot of pain and that by sitting him for the final eight games, they were looking out for his best interest in terms of his future, including life after football.
This is obviously music to the ears of Lions fans!
