The 2020 season kicks off on Thursday and for the most part, the national outlook on the Detroit Lions has actually been rather positive.
Until now.
On Wednesday, The Athletic posted an article in which they included the thoughts from scouts around the league and those who were asked about the Detroit Lions and they did not have very nice things to say.

From The Athletic:
“Really, what has Matthew Stafford done? What has he really done in the league? Has he taken them far in the playoffs? Not that he’s a bad leader, it’s just some of the things with intangibles that didn’t really match with his arm talent and everything else.” … “Detroit lacked pass rush, and they are banking on Jeff Okudah at cornerback. They lost Snacks Harrison but picked up Danny Shelton and Nick Williams. They have some run stuffers. Trey Flowers hasn’t done much. They are average up front.” … “I don’t think they like the coach. I’m not saying they’re going to sabotage the season and lay down, because they are professionals at the end of the day. But from what I’ve heard, I just heard that the players don’t like playing for him.”
Yeah, whatever…
